Depth of Field
Deep focus = sharp images, 'rear window'
1/15 f5.6 iso400
2" f32 iso400
1/25 f5.0 iso400
The first image is sharper than the second image and the third image due to the changes in the shutter speed and aperture.
1/13 f5.6 iso400
Shallow focus = blurred background/foreground
Their photos are in shallow focus. this means that either the background or foreground is in focus.
In these few pictures, exactly that is happening, I am either focusing on the object so that is sharp and crystal clear or so that it is out of focus or blurry. Creating a shallow focus.
I have done this just by using the focus pool, adjusting it to make sure the image looks like how I want it to look
Dark conditions
2" f4.0 iso400
2" f5.6 iso400
In the first picture, the aperture is lower which is why it looks brighter than the second one, the details are also sharper. As in dark conditions, lower f stop is to get a bright image. Even the sky looks brighter.
Light trails
2" f22 iso3200
2" f5.6 iso400
I changed the settings a lot when I was trying to get a light trail to get the best results I could get. The light trails worked best with a lower shutter speed. Because that meant that the shutter would close and open back after a while creating a smooth trail of light.
Bright conditions
1/4000 f25 iso800
1/100 f22 iso800
In the first picture, the clouds can be seen, and you could tell what the image is of however it looks darker and duller. Compared to the second picture, which is a little more vibrant and sharp, making it more appealing to look at.
Sun star
1/100 f22 iso800
1/125 f22 iso100
This was an attempt at a Sunstar. I put the settings I need to make a Sunstar. However, it was simply too bright to get the desired Sunstar that day (as you can see from the first picture). And I happened to be in a rush that day due to family events. So, I tried to improvise as best as I could. While messing around with the settings I realised it looks a bit like a sun star if there is an object in front of it. I noticed that the window made a tiny Sunstar. Following this discovery, I decided to use my hands to make somewhat of a Sunstar.
